Over the last months, two of our heroes became angels, Connor S. (a friend of Connor Goodwin) and Katie. Often we feel helpless as we watch the parents deal with their grief. We have to do something. For Katie and Connor's friends, it was raising money for Connor's Heroes. Katie's classmates at Maggie Walker Governor's School created Katie's Company. Students at the school wore orange, the color of leukemia awareness, and passed the idea to other schools. Last month, Delaney came to our office with over $3,000 in donations!! Connor's friends & family donated in his memory, too. Connor's Heroes will use the money to guide other “Katies” and “Connors” through their treatments. Fran and Lisa will deliver Heroes Backpacks and Parent Tote Bags. Erin will train volunteers for our Helping Heroes and Superhero and Sidekick programs. You can create a legacy for your hero.
