Every Thursday, for the past 2-1/2 years, Connor's Heroes and CJ'sThumbsUp have been serving lunch to all the families who are on the Pediatric floor at Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU. I first met Roger & Rachel when their daughter, Charlotte Jennie, registered with Connor's Heroes. CJ is now an angel. Like me, they created a non-profit in honor of their child. They award cash grants to families in need. Thursdays are a great day. Families walk into the lounge and see a table full of delicious, healthy food. Families talk to Roger and Fran about the ups and down of their lives. The weekly Lunch Bunch is a great example of the one-on-one support we offer our Heroes. We are glad to have CJs Thumbs Up as our sidekick!
