Kicking Off The New Year With Childhood Cancer Hero Families & Artists

Connor’s Heroes began 2026 with our biggest Heroes Art Session ever! Childhood cancer heroes and their families filled three studio spaces at the Visual Arts Center. They worked alongside artist mentors who challenged their creativity with painting, pewter pouring, metal stamping, ink rolling, sculpting, and crafting.

Honoring Childhood Cancer Heroes at the Heroes Art Ball

This Heroes Art Session marked the first of several art experiences leading up to our biggest night of the year: The Heroes Art Ball on May 1, 2026. At The Heroes Art Ball, you can bid to win an artist’s piece (created at an Heroes Art Session) in our online auction or at the live auction at the gala. What will make this gala special is it will honor the 20th Anniversary of Connor’s Heroes.

We invite our community to be part of this milestone celebration. Gala sponsorships are now available to support hero families while shining brightly at our biggest event of the year.

About Heroes Art Session With Childhood Cancer Heroes And Their Families

Our Heroes Art Sessions provide a supportive environment in which childhood cancer heroes and their siblings can make art and build community with other hero families. At the sessions, you feel a collective sense of healing by creating and being together. We are grateful to Visual Arts Center for giving us the space for an open studio. And to our donors who allow the Heroes Art Sessions to happen at no cost to our families and to supply the artists with their materials.
