Sydney has a special connection with animals. She is an avid horseback rider. You gotta give her credit: she even trained her cat! Sydney hopes to study zoology when she is in college. Vivian and Chris love the fact Sydney and her older brother Aidan are independent and inquisitive thinkers.
Sydney had eight months of weekly chemo, four months of daily oral chemo, and infusions every month. When she was in the hospital, our Program Director Erin popped in to ask, “How can I help?” Vivian said Erin encouraged them to keep going during those long days in the hospital. When they were home, Erin’s phone calls to check in meant a lot.
