Shannon

Shannon was diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma in November of 2013. Her sister Samantha and a wonderful group of friends supported her during her treatments. She completed two full phases of cancer treatment, including intense chemotherapy with 34 radiation treatments. Unfortunately, chemotherapy has damaged her kidneys beyond repair. Shannon receives dialysis and is on the kidney transplant list. It will be at least three years before she will be able to receive a kidney transplant. Throughout her treatment, Shannon’s family encouraged her to continue her passion in music and art. Shannon is a student in a music specialty program at an area high school.
