Some names are meant to be. Like Journey. She carries love, faith, and joy everywhere she goes. She is the light of her parent’s life.
When doctors diagnosed Journey, mom and dad didn’t know what to expect. Upon registering with Connor’s Heroes, they realized Connor’s Heroes was there for their daughter’s journey. She loved her iPad. The $250 gift card helped tremendously. First, a blue envelope arrived with a gas gift card. Then another one for groceries. Month after month, gift cards kept coming without having to ask.
Jillian, Connor’s Heroes Program Director, showed up too. She visited Journey in the hospital, leaving surprises in her room and asking what the family needed to get through each day.
Cancer may have sent Journey down an uncertain road, but the Connor’s Heroes community went the extra mile to keep Journey moving forward.
