Jack
Jack (7-years-old) was diagnosed with a kidney tumor known as “Wilms” on December 3rd, 2014. Just days later, he underwent an eight hour surgery to remove the tumor and his left kidney. Radiation and chemo started shortly thereafter. Through it all Jack has amazed us with his strength and positive, easy going attitude. His 10-year-old sister, Addie, has been his biggest cheerleader and best friend. Jack’s last treatment is April 24. He is eager to get back into the swing of things with all of his friends. We are so proud of his confidence as he makes this transition. Walking into school for the first time in months he asked, “Mom, what does ‘bold’ mean?” After hearing the explanation he replied, “Yeah, that’s what I want to be – bold.”
