Emily

Emily was diagnosed with Anaplastic Medulloblastoma in May 2012. After surgery to remove the tumor, Emily went through daily (Monday – Friday) Radiation and Chemotherapy treatment for 6 /12 weeks in July – Aug 2012.  After an 8 week break, she moved into 6 months of maintenance treatment which included high dose in-patient chemotherapy over 3-4 days/month. Emily completed her last dose of chemo on Feb. 27, 2013. Emily has now moved into the stage of recovering from the effects of the treatment: severe drop foot and gaining back muscle so Emily will be able to walk on her own.  Through all of this journey, Emily has been positive, strong, and happy. She wakes up every day with a smile on her face! She loves doing art, crafts, reading, listening to music, and playing with her sister Katelyn.
