Archer is more than a teen fighting cancer — he’s a Lego-building guru, a dog bro, and a chill guy. Everything changed when doctors found a large tumor. The first days in the hospital were a whirlwind of medical and personal crises. Bam! They received a Connor’s Heroes Bag and Backpack. Inside? An iPad, $250 VISA gift card, and essentials for his sudden admission to the hospital.

Connor’s Heroes Program Director, Jillian, brought positive energy and compassion to Archer’s hospital room. The family described Jillian as part Mary Poppins, part cheerleader. Suddenly, everyone felt relief from the chaos.

After several weeks in the hospital, Archer finally returned home to his dogs and loving family. Cancer tested his strength, but it also revealed something else — the kindness of the Connor’s Heroes community who made sure his family was not alone.

Archer’s treatment included steroids. We quickly learned a teenager on steroids took the grocery bill to new heights. The grocery cards from Connor’s Heroes helped us stock up on the food he craved.
