Anna S.

Anna was diagnosed with Leukemia (ALL) in February, 2008. She was an early responder and went into remission in less than 29 days. She continued with chemo treatments for another 27 months. In August, 2011, Anna relapsed. It took a lot longer to get her back into remission this time. After four months of high dose chemo and many hospital stays, she was back in remission. On February 17, 2012, Anna was admitted to the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit for a double cord stem cell transplant. As of this writing, Anna is still in the hospital, but we hope to go home soon. We also hope that Anna will remain cancer free for a very, very long time.
