Earlier this month CHF program directors Fran and Erin had an orientation for our volunteers. Volunteers will be involved with families offering much needed support in and out of the hospital. Even with health insurance, the expenses of a long-term hospital stay add up quickly. Housework, grocery shopping, yard work gets tossed aside. Because CHF is familiar with the struggles of families dealing with pediatric cancer, we often know what the parent needs before they realize it for themselves. Our crew of Sidekicks and Helping Heroes will be a bat-signal away and are ready to fly in to help.
