Who We Are

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up of volunteers, parents of children with cancer, and other caring individuals and companies who want to conquer childhood cancer through direct assistance, awareness, and fundraising. We hope to help others be heroes in the lives of children with cancer and their families. Currently, we provide assistance to children and their families who are being treated for cancer in Richmond, Virginia at the Children's Medical Center of VCU Health System, including the ASK Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic and the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit.

Message From the Founders:

Connor is our hero. He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in August 2003 when he was just 22 months old. He has been in remission since September 2003 and he ended 2-1/2 years of treatment in March 2006. Connor bravely endured the ups and downs of his treatment with the help of music, his friends and family, and his favorite doctors and nurses at the clinic. Connor inspires all who meet him with his unending zest for life.

Connor's Heroes Foundation is our way of saluting the heroes in Connor's life and to help provide heroes in other children's lives. Childhood cancer affects not only the child, but the entire family. We want to make life a little easier for the children who must endure cancer treatment -- the true heroes among us, as well as their family -- the unsung heroes! We also know that anyone can be a hero to a child or family suffering through this disease, and we want to encourage everyone to join us in this battle.
