Faith to Move Mountains
Hi, my name is Reina and I am 16 years old. I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma
(Bone Cancer) in December of 2009. Through this God has given me complete
peace and without Him I know I wouldn't have been able to make it. It
started a couple years ago when I felt the Lord leading me to be a Pediatric
Oncologist. I then started thinking about, how could I understand what the
children were going through so I could be a better help to them.
So I started to pray to God that if it was his will for me to be an Oncologist that he would help me to better understands what these kids were going through. A couple months later I started to get a very bad pain in my leg that turned out to be cancer. I now DO (will) know! Mind you, I LOVE soccer, and the surgery required to save my leg (limb salvage), would mean I could never play again. Life doesn't come without sacrifices, and I know God has a plan. My journey is far from over, but I know that with God and my family and friends, I will get through it! I have learned to love life and appreciate it more through this, and for that I am truly grateful. Thank you for reading, Reina
