Birthday Presents for Connor's Heroes
‘Lissa Kate is a 5th grader at Greenfield Elementary School. This year, for her 11th birthday, she decided to have a celebration that would honor more than just her birthday. Instead of gifts for herself, she invited her friends to bring donations that could be used to help fill Connor's Heroes backpacks. She had a wonderful party with pizza, cake and ice-cream, and some fun rounds of Bunco with her friends. Thanks to the generosity of her friends that came for her birthday, ‘Lissa Kate collected an abundance of items that will be used to fill Heroes Backpacks. After the party, ‘Lissa Kate delivered the wonderful gifts to Connor’s Heroes. She had a fabulous party, and it’s a wonderful feeling to know that her birthday was extended to help kids overcoming cancer! 'Lissa Kate also hopes that other people will hear her story and be inspired to do the same thing!!
