Connor is our Hero
Connor was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in August of 2003 when he was just 22 months old. He has been in remission since September 2003 and he ended his 2 ½ years of treatment in March 2006 -- at the age of 4-1/2. Connor bravely endured the ups and downs of his treatment with the help of music, his friends and family and his favorite doctors and nurses at the clinic. Connor has actually loved going to clinic and is truly a remarkable little boy. He inspires all who meet him with his unending zest for life, for people, for conversation, and for music. Connor loves to tell you about the heroes in his life -- not just his parents, sister, grandparents, friends, and his nurses and doctors-- but also Spiderman, Batman, Buzz Lightyear and Sam Bush!
Connor is our inspiration and the reason we started Connor's Heroes Foundation. He is very eager to tell people how important it is for everyone to be a hero by raising money to help find a cure for kids with cancer, and also how important it is for kids with cancer to be able to have fun, not just feel sick. If we can bring the energy to Connor's Heroes that Connor brings to living every day, then conquering childhood cancer is only a matter of time!
