Polar Express and Winter Wonderland

With the help of some very important elves, Connor's Heroes is providing 2 special events for children with cancer and their families. On December 4, families are invited to a Polar Express event at Hanover Airport. On December 11, families are invited to the Westchester Commons Winter Wonderland. Many thanks to Westchester Commons and Megan Amos of James River HS for organizing these events to make the holiday season more exciting for our Hero families!
The Winter Wonderland on December 11 from 11-3 is open to the public. Customers are encouraged to bring donations for Connor's Heroes Bags and Backpacks. First Annual Connor’s Heroes Family Festival

Help us celebrate National Childhood Cancer Awareness month! Be A Hero! Bring your family to the 1st Annual Connor’s Heroes Family Festival!
Enjoy music for the entire family from 1 to 6 pm at the SnagAJob Pavilion in Innsbrook. The show will begin with the Jangling Reinharts, followed by 2 of Richmond's favorite kid bands, Silly Bus and the Diggity Dudes. Silly Bus will debut their amazing new song, "Heroes and Angels," written by Justin Laughter. The Venture Rays and Tin Foil Militia will also perform favorites of young and old alike.
In addition to great music for the entire family you will have loads of fun and your support will help ease the burden of childhood cancer to families right here in central Virginia.
Activities will include:
· Kids Jump Zone (moon bounces, obstacle courses, slides and more!)
· A Community Heroes Corner
· Music Town with crafts, face painting, and instrument making
· Nutzy from Richmond's Flying Squirrels with wacky games
· Food and beverage (adult & kid friendly) vendors
· A heroes parade and much more
You are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Please, no coolers, baskets, knapsacks, weapons of any kind or outside food and beverages (baby food being an exception). All bags are subject to search prior to entry onto the pavilion grounds.

Connor’s Heroes Day at Flying Squirrels Game

On Sunday, August 15, Connor's Heroes celebrated childhood cancer patients at the Richmond Flying Squirrels game. We gave out 2500 metal lunchboxes with the Connor's Heroes "Conquerors." Five childhood cancer HEROES had the opportunity to throw out a first pitch and one also got to sing "Take me out to the ballgame" for the crowd. These 2 sets of brothers, aged 47-50, have taken on the added challenge of raising $10,000 to help kids with cancer and their families.

Connor’s Heroes Foundation is proud to be involved once again in the 25th Annual Church Hill Irish Festival on March 20th and 21st in historic Church Hill. Connor’s Heroes volunteers organize and operate the KID ZONE activities for the festival, and the proceeds from the KID ZONE help Connor’s Heroes in its efforts to conquer childhood cancer. The KID ZONE activities include face painting, moon bounces, a giant slide, an obstacle course, carnival games, mini NASCAR racing, and more!
